What happened to November?

Whew, I'm back. There is a lot of stuff (both great and terrible - ah, the balance of the universe) going on right now, hence my delay in posting a video. But one is on the way!!

Before the year's end I'll slowly be turning this vlog into a more "all inclusive" blog with video, photos, text, etc... so that all info is on one place - karmagrrrl 360, if you will (no relation to the xbox game console, though it looks fantastic and I wouldn't mind one for Chrismahanukwanzakah) Steve just alerted me the first day of Hanukkah falls on Christmas this year - when was the last time that happened? Kinda cool. I've always liked Yule though - the more quiet, understated, non-pressure winter holiday...

Support World AIDS Day On my mind: In 1988 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared December 1st World Aids Day - which is tomorrow. What can each of us do to observe the occasion? Plenty. One simple thing we can do right where we sit is educate ourselves about HIV and AIDS. By educating ourselves we can help find solutions. Did you know there are 40 million people living with HIV and 20 million orphans as a result of HIV? Let's just take a couple of minutes to care.

A few simple things you can do:
  • Take this QUIZ to test your knowledge
  • If you have a younger sibling, or child who is of a sexually active age, discuss the use of condoms or abstinence
  • Create a link to an HIV/AIDS campaign on your blog/vlog
  • Challenge discrimination when you're in a conversation, don't sit quietly
  • Be aware of public policy and help spur on legislative action
See you soon!
