Here's a remix of a video post by Erik Nelson over a bottomunion.com that was really sad. He and his wife went into a pet store and there was a little white finch who was missing the feathers on his back because he was trapped in a cage with a dozen other finches of a different color who were pecking him. Unfortunately this is not uncommon, but we can always inform ourselves on what we can do if we think animal neglect or abuse is taking place. Here's one web site: pet-abuse.com. I'm sure there are lots more.
